In 1991, the Denton Village Board began funding a scholarship for students in the Denton area who had prior history of involvement in the Denton Community. The funding came from the Village Keno revenues.
Since the inception the Denton Dollars for Scholars Chapter has funded over $100,000 to Denton students who are involved in the community.
